This is a state-based role joining the organization''s National Brokerage team of experienced brokers.As part of the Customs Team, your responsibilities will include:Managing all aspects of government legislation and compliance, while liaising with external stakeholders such as AQIS and ABF.Handling all customs documentation and ensuring its accuracy.Consulting and providing professional advice to customers to address their customs clearance needs, offering tariff advice, concessions, and rates.Providing market updates, trends, and participating in tariff and pricing discussions with customers.Providing support to the customs team and fostering collaboration with internal staff and management to ensure effective teamwork.To be considered for this position, the following qualifications are required:A minimum of 1 year''s experience as a fully qualified customs broker within a local organization.Proficiency in managing customer expectations and direct customer interaction.Experience dealing with a wide range of commodities.Self-management and self-motivation abilities.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Up-to-date with current legislative requirements set by Border Force.Possession of the required CPD points.Please note that this position is mainly based on-site in the Melbourne office with minimal WFH available.This is a great step up for your brokerage career.
