3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsExpressions of interest are invited for the role of Digital Adviser within the Office of the Premier of Victoria.About the JobThe Digital Adviser plays a key hands-on role in shaping how the Premier of Victoria connects with the public through digital platforms. This role is part of a small, fast-paced and highly collaborative team responsible for producing compelling, high-quality content that communicates government priorities.We''re seeking a creative, politically engaged digital specialist with experience in videography, photography, graphic design, social media management and copywriting. The role is execution-focused youll be behind the camera, on the editing desk, writing captions, and posting content often all in the same dayKey accountabilities and duties:Film, edit, and produce professional video content for social media and digital campaignsCapture high-quality photography at press conferences, events, local visits, and behind-the-scenes moments with the Premier.Design engaging visual assets (graphics, infographic) to communicate key messagesWrite concise and impactful copy for posts, captions, video scripts and digital explainers.Draft, schedule, and publish social media content across all major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, LinkedIn).Organise and maintain content librariesWork closely with media, policy, caucus, and stakeholder engagement teams to plan and deliver content.Key Selection CriteriaAbout YouSignificant hands-on experience (35+ years) in digital content production across video, photography, design, and social media platforms.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and/or Canva, Final Cut Pro, or similar.Demonstrated ability to write for digital platforms with clarity, creativity and political sensitivity.Proven experience managing social media channels in a professional, fast-moving environment.Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.A strong understanding of political communications and the role of government.Ability to exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality, and work with discretion on sensitive issues.Previous experience in a political, government, or newsroom environment.About UsA career in political office is challenging, complex, fast-paced and rewarding.
