Join the Graduate Development Program in the Veterinary Stream to enhance skills in animal biosecurity, export standards, and welfare.Your RoleKey responsibilities include:Participate in workplace rotations in areas like Veterinary Export and Meat Branch, Live Animal Export Branch, and Animal Biosecurity Branch.Support policy development related to animal health, diseases, and environmental health.Contribute to surveillance and response planning for animal disease threats.Develop and implement animal welfare strategies for domestic and exported livestock.Engage with the Office of the Chief Veterinary Officer and other branches to address emerging animal health issues.About YouCandidates should possess:A Veterinary qualification recognized for registration in Australia.Skills in tackling important issues, adapting to new situations, and ensuring success.An understanding of the impact on others and openness to different approaches.Compensation & BenefitsSalary at APS 4 level, starting at $77,728 per annum plus superannuation.Potential progression to APS 5 level upon program completion.Competitive remuneration package, relocation assistance, and flexible work arrangements.Training & DevelopmentBenefit from a dedicated support team, access to a graduate network, and formal training through the Australian Public Service Commission Academy.Career ProgressionGraduates may progress to Training Broadband pay point 11 during the program and advance to APS 5 level upon successful completion.
