Role Overview The Family Violence Case Manager is a key member of the Family Violence Team, providing high-quality case management services to women and children affected by family violence, including those who choose to remain in their relationships. The role involves working with clients in various accommodation settings, including emergency and transitional housing. Key Responsibilities Deliver trauma-informed outreach case management services to women and children experiencing family violence. Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve client goals. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, safety planning, and case planning using MARAM frameworks. Coordinate referrals and liaise with specialist services as needed. Support clients in different accommodation settings. About You Appropriate tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or related field. Experience in outreach case management, risk and needs assessments. Experience with high-risk clients and complex needs, including trauma, substance abuse, mental health, and diverse backgrounds. Understanding of family violence impacts and relevant frameworks. Strong relationship-building skills with professionals. Proficiency in report writing, case notes, and database use. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of protective behaviours techniques for children. Commitment to ongoing professional development and awareness of sector reforms. Mandatory Qualifications Candidates must demonstrate they meet the minimum qualifications outlined by the Victorian government, either through exemption, a relevant qualification, or relevant experience.
