There are approximately 300 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 350 staff by end of 2026. Overseas on the ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Denmark, Germany and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.About the roleDroneShield is seeking a Warehouse Manager!This is a hands-on key leadership role that has been established to stabilise and future-proof DroneShields warehousing operations. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, youll lead a growing team of 8-12 staff across inbound, kitting & picking, packing & dispatch, whilst ensuring overall inventory control is maintained.Currently located in Pyrmont, DroneShield is moving its warehousing operations to a dedicated 3,000 square metre facility in Alexandria, being fit-out to become a best-in-class warehouse & production facility. Youll start your journey with us in Pyrmont and lead us into our new facility!In parallel, DroneShield is rolling out a new ERP/WMS system (Oracle) that will enable the candidate with a clean slate to manage and maintain warehousing operations & stock control both now, and into the future.Responsibilities, Duties and ExpectationsWhilst leading your team, youll work cross-functionally with DroneShields Quality, Procurement and Manufacturing leaders to ensure that outbound operational milestones are met consistently and are tightly controlled.If youre a hands-on leader who thrives on creating clarity, driving improvement, and empowering your team, this is your opportunity to lead real change in a high-impact, Defence Technology business.The key expectations of the role are to:Set the culture of accountability & continuous improvementLead by example with pace and quality of workMeet internal customer needs to ensure operational synergyGrow, develop and mentor the warehousing teamIdentify process gaps and introduce process efficiencies with speedC ontribute to all warehousing activities for situational awarenessQualifications, Experience and SkillsWere looking for an experienced leader with 5+ years of experience in direct Warehouse Management.
