We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Manager Security Standards, Compliance and Communication to join our Aviation team.Reporting to the Head of Security and supporting the General Manager Operations and the wider APAM Security team, the Manager Security Standards, Compliance and Communication will establish, develop, and deliver security compliance, standards, and communications. The role will promote a strong security culture and ensure accountability and adherence to security operational policies from all airport users.This newly created role will facilitate improved governance processes and the growing demand for documented security standards for capital projects and operations, communication with stakeholders, and compliance data and records for government and internal reporting. The position will play a critical role in analysing international security standards and Australian government aviation security regulations and advising on security, operational or compliance risks, and practical policy amendments and solutions. You can also learn more about life at Melbourne Airport our culture, values, and what makes us unique at Join us in shaping the future of aviation as we propel Melbourne Airport towards becoming Australia''s favourite Airport destination.Key responsibilities:The role''s duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:Maintaining APAMs Transport Security Program (TSP) including mapping, version control, and accuracy to regulations.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop, update, or establish security policy.Account for all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions, required to meet compliance with Australian Transport Security Regulations, Aviation Screening Notices, and the Australian Transport Security Act.Identify the need for relevant and timely Security Alerts. Produce, distribute, and maintain a register of security alerts.Ensure all practices related to APAMs TSP obligations are carried out within the required timeframes.Collate all data, reporting, responses, and evidence from security providers, internal stakeholders, and other airport users for submissions to CISC.Manage all Airfield Tenant Screening data capture.Oversee Airfield tenant Airside Entry Verification (AEV) Compliance.The successful candidate will have:Strong document management skills, including creating, storing, recalling, and version controlling documents.Tertiary qualification in Aviation, Security, a compliance-related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience.Minimum 5 years experience in aviation, security, operations, or a related compliance field.Effective communication skills, capable of developing written and verbal briefs for various audiences.Experience interpreting and implementing aviation security legislation and regulations or similar legislation.Excellent interpersonal skills to convey complex security issues to executives and in crisis scenarios.Strong problem-solving skills, with a detailed understanding of regulations, operations, and security risk management.Ability to work within a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of security, operations, and technology experts.Commitment to fostering a proactive safety and security culture.We understand that not everyone will meet all criteria.
