Read more here.You will join one of the AI Product Engineering teams in the Small Business and Growth Division, responsible for delivering key AI initiatives.You will manage a group of engineers while directly contributing to the team''s success by championing excellent engineering and delivery practices that enable rapid, high-quality software delivery.You will support your direct reports in becoming excellent Xeros, empowering them to deliver high-quality software to customers and fostering a world-class engineering culture. You will help your team hone their skills and grow as individuals to meet the capabilities required for the team. Youll ensure the team has the necessary information and feedback loops to discover and deliver valuable, usable, and buildable outcomes.Youll maintain a work environment where your team can do their best work predictably and sustainably.Youll monitor and support the operational health of your team and products, aiming for resilience.What you''ll do:Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing team through effective hiring, coaching, mentoring, and setting clear direction aligned with Xeros technology and strategic goals.Drive continuous improvement by reviewing, developing, and implementing best practices.Ensure your teams delivery pipeline flows predictably and sustainably, proactively addressing blockers to maintain momentum.Establish and maintain accurate, fit-for-purpose, and sustainable delivery systems within your team, including providing informed estimates, delivery forecasts, capacity planning, and reporting.Collaborate with peers in Product, Design, and Engineering to develop clear roadmaps and plans that deliver business outcomes efficiently.Stay current with relevant engineering technologies, practices, techniques, and frameworks applicable to Xeros software applications.What you''ll bring with you:Deep experience managing software delivery and engineering teams using Lean-Agile methodologies.Strong understanding of modern software delivery practices and the software development lifecycle.Proven ability to execute initiatives successfully.Comfort with ambiguity, with the ability to lead and guide your team in dynamic environments.Experience in coaching and mentoring engineering teams.No prior AI product delivery experience required, but a strong interest in building AI products is essential.Why Xero?We offer generous paid leave, dedicated leave for wellbeing, mental health support, health and life insurance, income protection, wellbeing and sports programs, employee resource groups, 26 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers, an Employee Share Plan, beautiful offices, flexible working, career development, and many other benefits that reflect our human values.
