The Package: $52.92 - $58.48 gross per hour ($104,586.04 - $115,562.20 gross per annum) (Evaluated as Grade 16 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) + 11.5% superannuation and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26.Full-time 38 hours per week, with 9-day fortnight conditions. The position requires participation in the on-call roster, with additional overtime and on-call allowance paid for these periods. A leaseback vehicle with private use is available.The Role: The Utilities Branch manages the water, sewer, recycled water, and stormwater networks of Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council. The Coordinator, Water and Sewer (Queanbeyan), is a key role in the branch, operating the networks of Googong, Jerrabomberra, and Queanbeyan. They oversee a team including 2 Senior Water Industry Operators, 14 Water Industry Operators, and specialist contractors, serving a community of over 55,000 residents and managing an annual operational budget of around $3 million.Daily responsibilities may include:Constructing a new stormwater mainResponding to emergencies such as burst water mains or sewer chokesCommunicating with residents about concernsPreparing quotes for private worksThe Utilities Branch values the right attitude in its recruits.
