This role is critical in shaping Councils approach to industrial relations through the development and implementation of policies, interpretation of legislation, and management of key organisational projects. The position manages high-stakes workplace investigations, the negotiation and resolution of disputes, and engagement with unions and external consultants. The Workplace Manager oversees performance management frameworks and organisational wellbeing initiatives to ensure a consistent, positive, and productive workplace culture.The Workplace Relations Manager supervises and mentors Workplace Relations staff, fostering professional development and ensuring compliance with Councils policies and legislative obligations.Qualifications: The successful applicant will require relevant qualifications in Human Resources related field or demonstrated relevant experience. Please include copies of all relevant licenses and qualifications with your application.Skills & Knowledge: The successful applicant will require in-depth knowledge of industrial instruments relevant to Local Government, industrial relations or workplace relations roles, strong experience leading complex investigations and negotiating industrial relations matters. Proven leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and guiding a team.
