We have established strong partnerships with Australia''s leading transmission network providers, suppliers of wind, gas, and diesel generation equipment, as well as prominent mining companies.Role:RJE Global are seeking experienced Electrical Supervisors to supervise the construction in specific areas of large-scale battery energy storage systems BESS, wind farms and other resource and power infrastructure related projects. The location of the projects can be interstate regional areas, so travel to rostered work away from home is an expectation. Current major projects include Mortlake BESS in Vic., New England BESS in N.S.W, Summerfield BESS in S.A., Warradarge Wind Farm in W.A., King Rocks Wind Farm in WA.Responsibilities:Ensure that pre-requisite instructions, specifications / drawings and associated documentation are available prior to the commencement of workEnsure all employees are appropriately supervisedMaintain daily diaries to address crew records work activity and define any issuesThe resolution of the day-to-day problems and decision makingTo facilitate Toolbox & Pre-start MeetingsEnsure that all statutory obligations in respect of equipment tests and equipment security are fully complied with and to control such plant, mechanical/electrical equipment as required and ensure employees are appropriately instructed on its use, maintenance and storageVerification of contract requirement as applied to their defined, installation works, via the appropriate document / data, nominated ITPs or ITRsReview & sign project related employee & contractor timesheetsEnsure that the materials & equipment are organized for effective scheduled installationEnsure that materials, equipment & consumable stocks are frequently checked for quantities required to aid in an efficient and productive workplaceSchedule the projects employee labour requirements with the assistance from the Construction Manager and the Project Manager.Ensure that the correct tools and equipment are available to allow productive installation practices to proceedWorking with other supervisors on the construction site to determine the working prioritiesReviewing and determining work methods that result in an improved efficiency and productivity in the workplaceEnsure that project quality document package and associated testing is completed by the project team ready for handoverEnsure that the RJE integrated Quality, Health, Safety and Environment manual is referenced for guidelines on RJE construction project related procedures and practicesMonitor, assist in organising and remedy any issues arising with RJE employee and contractor travel, accommodation and meal requirementsEnforce the RJE disciplinary, drugs and alcohol policies on RJE project sites for employees and contractorsRequired:Unrestricted drivers licenceA Class Electrical License (within home state)LV Rescue and Resuscitation Certificate (within 12 months)Construction Industry White CardMust be able to pass a medical examination and random drug & alcohol testsAdvantageous:Qualified electrician with 5+ years construction site experiencePrevious Leading Hand and / or Supervisory experienceExperience working in large construction environments, particularly remote FIFO scenariosExperience in industrial electrical installation, including cable support systems and cabling (MV, LV, DC, Control, Fire and Communications)High Voltageinstallation / testingexperience and qualificationsFibre Optic installation / testing experience and qualificationsDual Trade / Instrumentation / MV Cable Jointing / Air ConditioningHigh risk work licence WP, CN, DG, RB, LF, SBSafe Work at Heights TrainingAbility to read and interpret electrical schematic / wiring / SLD diagrams and drawingsAbility to read and interpret layout and general arrangement drawingsFitting and mounting of electrical switchgear, components and wiring into switchboardsKnowledge of Australian electrical standards and specificationsExperience in quality assurance - electrical testing and verificationWe offer a collaborative team environment both within and outside of the workplace.We provide an attractive remuneration package paid on a weekly basis, which includes paid overtime with penalties, along with additional project-specific allowances and compensation for work away from home.At RJE, we understand the importance of work-life balance and offer individual flexibility arrangements.We cover travel expenses if you are required to work away from home.Overtime hours can be banked for time off in lieu, allowing for extended paid holidays.You will have access to an extensive benefits and discounts program, offering everyday savings at over 600 retailers.We provide accommodation and cover meal expenses when working away from home.We offer comprehensive Training and Development programs to enhance and broaden your skill set.
