We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join the principal contractors team on an exciting enewable energy project. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a civil/earth works and electrical infrastructure construction environment. The role is responsible for providing safety oversight and driving a safety culture and compliance. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, i.e. working with the client, will be an essential part of your success.Key responsibilities of the role include:Ensure contractors comply with processes and safe work proceduresReview and develop safe work methodologiesPerform safety administrative functions to onboard plant and personnel, to siteAssist in the development and mentoring of project personnel with respect to safetyInvestigating and reporting on any incidents/accidents, root cause analysis and developing and implementing corrective actionsMaintain work records, issue HV permits and reporting on and behalf of the clientRequirements of the roleMinimum of 5 years experience in the construction industryMinimum 2 years experience in a similar role/major projectSafety Qualification Cert IV or higherWorking knowledge and experience in safety regulationsDrivers License and Construction White CardThe ideal candidate will have civil or electrical construction safety experience. Additionally, experience in wind, solar, oil and as, utilities/electrical infrastructu or mining industries will be highly regarded. This is a renewable project and is based in regional Victoria, i.e. near Shepparton. The roster is Monday to Friday (5:2).
