This position involves category management, leading negotiations, drafting, and implementing contracts, and monitoring performance to ensure that services are delivered in accordance with agreed outcomes. The Contract Manager collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to address complex issues, provide support, and ensure compliance with organisational and Commonwealth policies. By managing contract performance and identifying opportunities for improvement, the Contract Manager enhances the effectiveness of commissioned services across Western Australia. Employment Type2 FTE Maximum term contract for 2 years0.5 FTE Maximum term contract until 30 th June 2026 Location: WAPHA Head Office, Level 2, 1 Hood Street, Subiaco (Hybrid role) Salary: Band 5 ($106-$120k Plus 11.5% Superannuation)Key Tasks And ResponsibilitiesManage and lead contractual relationships between Commissioned Service Providers (CSPs) and WAPHA, ensuring adherence to organizational and Commonwealth policies.Develop and implement negotiation strategies for effective and purposeful contractual negotiations.Draft and implement contracts, with a focus on performance monitoring and achieving specified outcomes.Address complex service development and operational issues in collaboration with service providers.Analyze funding proposals and submissions, offering recommendations aligned with WAPHA policies.Promote and support the implementation of WAPHA frameworks through effective contract management.Provide contractual information and advice to the procurement team for procurement activities.Act as the primary contact for all contractual matters related to CSPs and stakeholders.Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve contract management and resolve complex contractual issues.Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with CSPs to facilitate effective service delivery and identify opportunities for improvement.Ensure accurate and timely reporting on contract performance, including the preparation of reports on KPIs and outcomes.Support the continuous development and refinement of commissioning processes and procedures.About YouTo be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:Essential Experience And EducationTertiary qualification in health-related field or contract management/procurement, or relevant experience.Exceptional detail and accuracy in contract drafting and review.High-level organizational skills and experience with efficient business systems for managing contracts.Ability to apply commercial and risk management principles for pragmatic advice and decision support.Strong understanding of the contract lifecycle from pre-award to post-award.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective task prioritization.High attention to detail and focus on robust contract management processes.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clarify complex concepts.Experience in supporting transparent and equitable contract management processes.Knowledge of contract management principles, including negotiation and financial management.Proficiency with information and communication technology and software packages.Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.What We OfferHybrid working arrangement that combines remote work from home with office presence in our modern Subiaco office.Commitment to employee development.Salary packaging - WAPHA''s arrangement allows for a maximum of $15,900 for general living expenses and $2,650 for entertainment benefits per fringe benefit tax year.Professional development opportunities.Employee Assistance Program.Additional paid parental leave.Gifted paid day off during Christmas shut down period.Annual $200 health and wellbeing reimbursement scheme.All employees have access to LinkedIn Learning.Study leave options available.Option to purchase additional leave.13 weeks long service leave after 10 years of continuous services (accessible on a pro-rata basis after 7 years).To ApplyPlease submit your application by clicking the Apply button.Your application should include your CV.
