Youll receive full training, ongoing support, and the chance to make a real impact every day.About the role:As a Police Cadet, youll undertake 9 months of full-time paid training at the SAPOL Academy in Taperoo (Adelaide). Training combines classroom-based study with physical, practical, and scenario-based learning, covering law, policy, and procedures. Youll learn to respond to a range of real-world situations, preparing you for a dynamic policing career where every day is different.Once you graduate, youll work as a Probationary Constable and be deployed to an operational team. Your duties may include:Conducting mobile patrols and responding to emergency calls.Investigating accidents, crimes, minor offences, and public complaints, gathering evidence, making arrests, and interviewing suspects.Engaging with community members at events.Attending court proceedings.Managing traffic and road safety operations.Providing advice and assistance to victims of crime and their families.Maintaining records and preparing reports.Collaborating with other policing sections and partner agencies to ensure community safety.Upon completion of training, youll be deployed to one of our many stations across South Australia.
