With over 250 employees and an annual budget of approximately $130-$140 million, NHS is the largest College in terms of student enrolment and has been successfully growing its research to deliver on its strategic mission to improve lives and enable better health and caring outcomes.In early 2025, the Federal Government committed $150 million, matched by the University, towards a new 10-storey state of the art facility to be co-located with Flinders Medical Centre, Flinders Private Hospital and the Flinders University Health and Medical Research Building. This world-class facility, opening in 2029, will showcase innovative student-led services, clinical simulation, and research activities, fostering collaboration across disciplines, both within NHS and between Colleges.An exciting opportunity has become available for a seasoned leader to join Flinders University as Director of College Services for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, to provide strategic and operational leadership of professional support services.About the RoleThe Director, College Services is responsible for providing executive-level strategic and operational leadership of professional support services and infrastructure for the College. This role makes proactive and positive contributions to the College''s service culture and the University''s goals. The Director will lead and manage diverse, multi-disciplinary professional staff teams to provide cohesive and consistent customer service to a range of stakeholders within the College.Day-to-day, the position is accountable to the Vice-President and Executive Dean of the College and will work as a member of the College executive leadership team. The position reports to the University''s Vice-President Corporate Services (COO) to ensure alignment with the strategic and operational requirements of the University, including consistency of customer service. The role has key responsibility for the financial management of the College and will make significant contributions to the development and implementation of business and governance strategies, frameworks, standards, and processes within the College.About YouYou are an experienced leader and operator with a proven track record and understanding of people and financial management that make significant contributions to the development and implementation of strategies and processes for optimum customer service to a range of stakeholders. You have the ability to pivot strategically to execute initiatives across a multi-site workforce aimed at fostering growth and development in line with the strategic plans of the college and university.The successful candidate will have:Experience managing large budgets and optimising resources in complex environments, ideally in a university context.Proven organisational and strategic planning skills, including the ability to plan and lead change, prioritize and meet deadlines, and allocate resources effectively and efficiently to ensure operational and service delivery goals are met in high-volume and complex environments.Significant expertise in creating and delivering a consistent and integrated customer experience within a complex environment.Degree-qualified with relevant post-qualification experience in one or more of the following areas: business administration, commerce, finance/accounting, law, service design, process/operations improvement, business strategy/operating models, and customer experience management.Proven track record of managing a high performance and customer service teams in a matrix reporting environment.Life at FlindersWe''re transforming and investing in people and facilities to create contemporary, stimulating, and satisfying learning and work environments that reflect our core values of excellence, innovation, courage, and integrity.
