This is a rare opportunity to help shape a new department from the ground up. You will be responsible for the supervision of radiographers on site, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with clinical protocols and organisational policies.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operations of the Medical Imaging DepartmentSupervise and support radiographers rostered to Sunbury Day Hospital Medical ImagingEnsure efficient workflow, scheduling, and resource managementEnsure exceptional standards of patient care and imaging qualityContribute to the development and implementation of departmental protocols and quality assurance in line with accreditation standardsClinical rostering primarily at Sunbury Day Hospital, with contribution to out of hours service provision of Western Health Medical ImagingAbout YouAHPRA-registered Radiographer with a current Radiation Use Licence (Victoria) and Working With ChildrenAdvanced clinical skills and experience with minimum 10 years experience in General X-ray, CT, or bothProven leadership and supervisory capabilitiesStrong commitment to patient safety, quality, and team collaborationExcellent communication and organisational skillsPosition DescriptionAbout Western HealthWestern Health is one of the largest healthcare providers in Victoria, caring for a vibrant, diverse and rapidly growing community of one million people in Melbournes western suburbs.With more than 13,000 staff, Western Health delivers 800,000+ occasions of care every year, providing high-quality, person-centred care across every life stage.We provide a combination of hospital, community-based, at-home and in-reach servicesto aged, adult and paediatric patients and newborn babies.
