Up to two (2) positions are available.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise to the strategic leadership and governance of a dynamic not-for-profit organisation serving riders, clubs, and the wider community.About Motorcycling WAMotorcycling Western Australia (MWA) is responsible for the administration, development, and promotion of motorcycle sport and recreation throughout the state. With a proud history and strong community roots, MWA works to ensure safe, fair, and inclusive participation opportunities at all levels.The Role Appointed DirectorAs an appointed, non-elected Director, you will provide independent insight and professional acumen to help guide the strategic direction, good governance, and long-term sustainability of MWA.Term of Appointment:This is a voluntary position with a two-year term, commencing upon appointment by the Board of Directors.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to strategic decision-making and policy developmentApply independent judgment on matters of risk, compliance, and performancePromote good governance and support Board accountabilityAct as an advocate for MWAs mission and strategic goalsParticipate in monthly Board meetings and relevant sub-committeesPreferred Skills and ExperienceWe welcome applications from individuals with diverse professional backgrounds. The following areas of expertise are particularly valuable:Law, finance, governance, or risk managementMarketing, communications, sponsorship, or stakeholder relationsStrategy, business development, or community engagementPrevious experience in not-for-profit, sporting or community board roles is desirableA genuine interest in supporting the growth of motorcycle sport and recreation in WAKnowledge of the motorcycle sport landscape is not essential.
