We are looking for safety-conscious individuals with the relevant shunt qualifications to join our Perth based Kwinana rail operations team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to progress towards becoming a qualified Locomotive Driver, as our Trainee Driver positions are filled by top performers from our Operational Maintainer ranks. Take the next step in your career with us!About the role:Control the movement of trains and carry out relevant instructions always maintaining safetyInspect for faults, repair, service and maintain rollingstockSupport maintenance of locomotives, ancillary vehicles, machines, and equipmentConduct brake testing of trainsEffectively communicate with other depot personnel as well as clients and operational staff including train control face to face and via two-way radioUndertake shunting and marshalling of trainsOther duties as requestedAbout you:C Class Drivers Licence (mandatory)Strong commitment to safetyMechanical aptitudeStrong problem solving and communication skillsA willingness to work day & night shift (up to 12hr shifts) and including weekend work as requiredWhat we can offer you:At Aurizon, we support the development and growth of our employees to reach their full potential.
