About the roleGrand Hotel is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and create exceptional dining experiences for our guests. As a contract role, this position will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen staff management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.What you''ll be doingDevelop and execute innovative seasonal menus that showcase your culinary expertiseManage and mentor a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentationCollaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure the kitchen''s operations align with the overall strategic vision of the hotelMonitor food costs and inventory to maintain profitability and efficiencyEnsure the kitchen adheres to all relevant health and safety regulationsFoster a positive, productive, and collaborative working environment in the kitchenWhat we''re looking forAt least 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role within the hospitality industryA proven track record of leading and developing high-performing kitchen teamsExcellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu development, and food costingStrong understanding of food safety and health regulationsExceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with the broader hotel teamCreativity and a passion for using fresh, local ingredients to create memorable dishesWhat we offerAt Grand Hotel, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
