This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping families at one of the most important times in their lives.Role Overview:As an Embalmer / Mortuary Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring that every service is conducted with the highest level of dignity and care. Responsibilities include the preparation of the deceased for viewing, burial, cremation, or repatriation, as well as supporting daily mortuary operations.Key Responsibilities:Perform embalming procedures to the highest industry and ethical standardsPrepare deceased individuals in line with family requests and cultural requirementsEnsure legal documentation, registers, and reports are accurately maintainedHandle embalming chemicals safely in accordance with health regulationsStay up to date with developments in embalming techniques and infectious disease protocolsCollaborate with medical staff and funeral directors as neededMaintain cleanliness and hygiene of the mortuary at all timesQualifications & Experience:AUS/NZ Certificate in Embalming (for qualified applicants)25 years of relevant experience preferredPhysically fit and comfortable performing manual tasksPrevious experience in mortuary or funeral services an advantagePersonal Attributes:Calm, compassionate, and respectful natureExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detail and organisational skillsAdaptable and open to learning and changeProfessional appearance and conductUnrestricted Driver''s Licence essentialBe part of a deeply meaningful professionSupportive, team-oriented environmentOngoing development and training opportunitiesMake a genuine difference in peoples lives every dayUnlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:How many years'' experience do you have as a Mortuary Assistant?
