Details: CHS is seeking applications from an experienced healthcare leader to fill the position of Executive Director, Medicine at Canberra Hospital on a short-term contract, initially for six months.The Executive Director, Medicine is responsible for setting the strategic direction and operations across their service areas as well as innovation, accountability and change. The Executive Director leads systems and processes to improve access and performance and maintains effective linkages across CHS and other ACT health services to ensure they are person and family centred.Reporting to the General Manager, Canberra Hospital, the Executive Director is a critical leadership role within CHS and is expected to play a key role in planning and continuous improvement for the Division.It is expected that the Executive Director will have a unique understanding of the responsibilities and accountabilities of the role and a strategic understanding of CHSs key priorities and will work collaboratively with the other executives across CHS. The successful applicant will provide outstanding and strategically focused leadership, communicate professionally with high level internal and external stakeholders and work with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy within a complex multifaceted team.Note: Selection may be based on written application and referee reports only.Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from$344,954 - $358,775dependingon current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant.
