The CDU NUM will promote the professional standards of nursing practice, while managing the operational resources of the chemotherapy day unit.Classifications for this position will range from NM11 - NM12 ($126,074 - $130,509.60 per annum pro rata)DutiesPromote specialised professional standards of cancer careManage operational resources in alignment with our organisational objectives, policies and proceduresReview systems/processes, implement changes as requiredEnsure speciaslsied cancer care is safety provided to our patientsLead and promote a culture of continuous improvement.Skills and ExperiencePrevious experience as an ANUM / NUM in a chemotherapy day unit or oncologyLeadership qualities with proven ability to direct enthuse and encourage a multidisciplinary teamExceptional clinical and operational skills with a solid understanding of budget planning, preparation and managementProven ability to lead, motivate and drive changeExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated financial management and project management skillsAbout the DepartmentThe Chemotherapy Day Unit (CDU) is a fast paced, dynamic environment providing treatment to patients with cancer. As a 21 chair outpatient department, the CDU also encompasses the Apheresis Unit, Symptom Urgent Review Clinic (SURC) and Cancer Care at Home (CC@H ) programs.
