A deep understanding of project-based financials including costing, WIP, and margin analysis is essential.This role can be based in either Geelong (VIC) or Narangba (QLD), with potential for hybrid or flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.What Youll DoLead group-wide budgeting and forecasting, including annual budget cycles, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning across all entities and property trustsBuild and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, including new operations, capital investment, land acquisition, and multi-entity performancePartner closely with operations, estimating, and project delivery teams to review project costing, WIP, margins, and profitabilityDeliver high-quality monthly board and executive reports, including variance commentary, risk insights, and trend analysisDevelop and manage real-time financial dashboards tracking KPIs, cash flow, profitability, and project performanceSupport funding, banking, and investment presentations with clear modelling and analysisHelp improve financial systems (e.g., ERP and reporting tools like Power BI, Workbench, Sharperlight) and streamline processes for greater accuracy and efficiencyAct as a trusted finance business partner, translating complex financial data into clear insights that drive better decisionsWhat Youll BringWere looking for someone who:Brings 3+ years'' experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or management accountingHas worked in construction or engineering industries.Has advanced Excel modelling and analytical skillsCan confidently produce reports and presentations for board and exec-level audiencesHas experience working across multiple business models and entities (construction or manufacturing ideal)Is familiar with ERP systems and reporting tools like Power BI, Sharperlight, or WorkbenchKnows their way around job costing, WIP reporting, and margin analysisCommunicates clearly and concisely, with a strong commercial mindsetWhy Join Hanlon Industries?As Hanlon Industries enters its next phase of growth including international expansion, vertical integration, and significant capital investment this role offers a rare opportunity to shape how the business makes decisions at scale.
