You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance, working closely with the finance team to support the firms financial integrity and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Manage month-end closing processes, including the preparation of financial statements and reports.Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, and other statutory returns in compliance with ATO requirements.Support the finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.Ensure compliance with all internal controls and accounting policies.About You:CA/CPA: either qualified or pursuing your studiesWe are really interested in candidates from one of two backgrounds: either an experienced Financial Accountant within the legal industry who understands the environment OR A first mover from Big4 who has been hands-on in Business Services/CFO Services and seen best practice across a variety of clients3-5 years of similar financial accounting experienceStrong understanding of Australian tax legislation and compliance requirements.Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency in accounting software (ideally legal-specific software: Affinity, Aderant, 3E etc) and strong Excel skills.Apply Now:If you are a detail-oriented financial accountant ready to join a leading law firm and contribute to their financial success, we want to hear from you!
