LiftRite Hire & Sales, part of the Manitou Group, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead our Perth-based business into its next phase of growth and performance. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity with full accountability for the business''s profit and loss, strategic direction, and day-to-day operations.The Role:As General Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and operational performance of LiftRite Hire & Sales. You will oversee all areas of the business, including Sales, Rentals, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Customer Service, delivering both commercial results and a strong, people-focused culture.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the business strategy in line with group objectives, with a focus on machinery sales, rentals, parts, and after-sales service.Sales & Business Growth: Lead sales and rental initiatives, drive client acquisition, and strengthen key partnerships (including Kobelco) to achieve growth targets.Operational Excellence: Ensure streamlined operations across all functions, improving efficiency and customer delivery.Financial Oversight: Take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure sustainable profitability.Team & Culture: Inspire, lead, and develop high-performing teams while fostering a collaborative and engaging workplace.Customer Focus: Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and implement continuous improvement measures based on feedback.Risk & Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, financial practices, and health, safety and environmental standards.Stakeholder Engagement: Provide regular business performance updates and represent LiftRite at industry events and forums.What you''ll need to succeed:Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering or a related fieldOver 10 years senior experience, including 23 years managing a service-focused, direct-to-customer businessStrong operational background in equipment, industrial, or automotive sectorsIn-depth understanding of the rental market and major clientsDemonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing full P&L accountabilityKey Skills:Commercial acumen and strategic visionStrong leadership and team development capabilitiesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsConsultative sales expertise and stakeholder managementSolid understanding of commercial law, compliance, and operational riskInternal / External Connections:Internal:Senior Management within Australia and APACSales & Service country managementCorporate functions: Finance, Legal, HR, Board membersExternal:CustomersExternal consultantsLocal authoritiesLocation & Expected travel:This position is Perth based.
