If you''re someone who thrives on genuine connection, grassroots impact, and purposeful workthis role could be your perfect next step.About the RoleAs aCase Officer, youll be at the heart of delivering high-quality, client-centred services within ourIntensive Family Support (IFS)program. You will work alongside Families with children under the age of 18, who are at high risk of involvement with the statutory child protection system and are experiencing multiple and/or complex needs that impact on their ability provide a child safe environment including homelessness, mental health, Domestic and family violence and Substance misuse challenges or other significant barriers.In this exciting and rewarding role, you will:Complete the primary operational tasks and manage the clients journey through the service with a client centred approach.Receive referrals, undertake assessments of clients needs using the Common Assessment Tools determined by the department of child safety, and coordinate case management, regularly review case plans through liaison and collaboration with the Program Coordinator and/or Team LeaderDetermine, access, or deliver the most appropriate service to provide culturally respectful and competent service delivery for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse familiesDeliver hands-on, trauma-informed support to strengthen parenting capacity and life skills, through individual and/or family support, non-therapeutic counselling, and practical in-home supportCollaborate with Support Workers and external stakeholders to deliver integrated, community-based interventions, act as a single point of contact for the familyAdvocate, negotiate and assist clients to access other services and maximise opportunity for optimum client participation in service deliveryWhat Youll BringWere seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and engaging Case Officer who brings:Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology or related discipline3+ years'' experience supporting families and individuals with complex needsStrong knowledge of trauma-informed frameworks, risk assessment, and child protection practices (e.g. Safe & Together, Strengthening Families)Confidence in undertaking unannounced home visits, cold calls, and assertive outreachExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional report writingStrong cultural competency and experience working with First Nations familiesA deep commitment to co-designing services with families, not for themOther RequirementsOpen C Class Drivers LicenceCurrent Blue Card (Working with Children)Eligibility for a Suitability Check with the Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural AffairsBenefits for Youturn Team Members Salary packaging of up to $15,900 + $2,650 meal & entertainment Wellness Leave: 5 paid days annually (pro-rata) 12 weeks paid Parental Leave (after 12 months)Your Impact Starts HereWe are building something meaningfuland we want you to be part of it.
