The Division manages the entire helicopter development and production cycle. Production and assembly plants are concentrated in Italy, UK, Poland and the US. The AW139, AW169 and AW189 models are part of a family of new generation helicopters, all featuring the same design philosophy and the same certification and safety standards.Leonardo Australia is the Australian subsidiary of Leonardo International, offering full support services including engineering and maintenance including logistics management and other related support functions. Helicopter activities include helicopter gearbox overhauls in our state-of-the art MRO facility. We also perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft modifications and deployed support to customer maintenance activities. Our typical customers work in emergency services, offshore operations, in both government and private sectors including defence. Leonardo Australia has two key divisions, Helicopters and Electronics.About the roleWorking across two locations at Essendon Fields and Fisherman''s Bend in Port Melbourne, The Material & Logistic Specialist is responsible for the receipt, evaluation and management of Customer requests. The role is responsible for selecting the best logistics solution for the supply of spare parts, claim evaluation and support and repair solutions. The role is also responsible for coordinating and monitoring all activities from order receipt to final delivery within Customer and Company deadlines.Benefits and perksBy joining the team at Leonardo''s Helicopter Division, you will work within a friendly, high performance culture with a focus on our people and their development.Some of the benefits our people enjoy include:On-site parking.State of the art offices and facilities.Access to EAP.Personal development opportunities to grow in a diverse, inclusive company.Key Responsibilities Include:Management of the Customer orders and quotations cycle for both spare parts and repair services, identifying the best logistic solution in delivering the products and/or services.Processing Customer orders, quotations and contractual requirements in a timely and accurate manner.Providing support to Customers for the portfolios management, logistic flow monitoring and expediting of orders to meet customers deadlines.Management and monitoring of invoicing process and generating Credit/Debit memo when necessary.Cooperation with Material Management & Planning to implement the effective way of operation, co-ordination and integration of Customers/Operators requirements.Management of the orders processing to meet the budget, ensuring full compliance with the commitments, highlighting any deviation between the budget and orders fulfilment.Management of Consignment Stock (consumption, deliveries, replenishment, inventories)Assisting Customers on determining spare parts.Coordination and communicating between Customers and Leonardo regarding availability of parts necessary to perform maintenance activities.Management of Full Components Plan Contracts: assessing customers claim to ensure contract terms and conditioned are met.Management of Warranty contracts: assessing customers claim to ensure contract terms and conditions are met.Liaise with Customer Support Managers and LA Technical Representative regarding any complex and technical issues which cannot be resolved by problem solving with the Customer or utilising referencematerials to promptly identify the best solution for the customer.Liaise with Customers for the timely return of core materials and essential supporting documentation including following up for missing, incomplete or incorrect documentation to avoid disruptions in the logistics supply chain.Occasionally will be required to contact Customer Freight Forwarders and Couriers to arrange collection of shipments, typically where material is required to be collected outside of Australia.Assisting customers in using Leonardo Customers Portal.Maintaining KPI while improving performances.Education and Certification Requirements:Minimum Cert IV Business Administration or Advance Diploma or equivalent.2+ years'' experience in a Customer Order Administration or Logistics role.Full Australian work rights.Clean National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain.Bachelor of BusinessGood working knowledge of SAPProfessional and Technical Experience Requirements:Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and experience with inventory systems ERP (SAP)Advanced organisation & time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsGood Customer Service Skills and Orientation (reactivity, courtesy, efficiency)Ability to build collaborative working relationships.Able to work in a high demanding environment to meet customer deadlines including time critical tasks.Ability to identify the best logistical solution to deliver materials to customers, considering global stock availability and transit constraints.Liaise with Global Leonardo Employees to recover materials.
