Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.The RoleHDR is looking for an Electrical Commissioning Lead to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) team. This position will be based out of Melbourne Office and will lead commissioning teams on projects.Your time will be divided between project management, strengthening client relationships and driving day-to-day business operations and will give you the opportunity to build relationships with some of our most unique clients. You will play a critical role in getting to know their mission, vision, culture and goals, with the objective of collaborating on unrivalled building commissioning solutions.On a day-to-day basis, the Electrical Commissioning Lead will be responsible for:Maintaining and improving our relationship with clients, managing the scope and looking for opportunities to provide additional services that would benefit our clientsIdentifying, monitoring and supporting attainment of net fee booked plans by driving consistent communication across the organization, in coordination with the commissioning practice leadersAssisting and collaborating within the commissioning sector and with other sector and service leaders in defining opportunities and engagement strategies for clientsServing as a key client manager for selected clientsDriving the identification and development of new business opportunities in the commissioning market, including strategy for positioning, proposing, and presenting on business development campaigns.Undertaking technical assessments of project schedules, drawings, manuals, and technical submittals.Developing commissioning implementation plan, schedules, reports, checklists, and test scripts.Providing technical advice to clients in respect of project and operational risk.Working closely with general contractors team in developing commissioning strategies and processes which align fully with project objectives.Managing attendance and reporting of factory tests.Undertaking and reporting of inspections and tests.Attending project and internal meetings as needed.Managing detailed recording of meetings.Preferred QualificationsTertiary qualifications in Electrical (university or TAFE) - highly advantageousGreen Star AP, LEED AP, CSA or LEED Associate highly advantageousDemonstrated experience in commissioning or facility engineering, preferably working in Data Centre / Health sectors.Experience with equipment inspectionsExperience with Factory Witness Test / Factory Acceptance TestsCommitted to quality, improvement and HDR valuesAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must#LI-CG3Required QualificationsMust be willing to travel to site-based locations as reasonably based on HDR needsMust be an experienced engineer, either a licensed PE or a field technician with excellent understanding of MEP systems, HVAC controls, the T&B process, etcMust have good computer skills and effective typing skillsUnderstanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project softwareExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBe familiar with the organization of design documents, the preparation of the multidiscipline designs, and the delivery of the design & construction servicesStrong knowledge of construction practices, systems engineering, operations fundamentals, contracting, and general business operationsUnderstanding of project accounting and financial management toolsAbility to prioritize and organize work; ability to work on multiple tasks concurrentlyAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
