Job Description

Position: Postdoctoral Fellow (Academic Level A4) The Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies and Statistics (RSFAS) in the ANU College of Business and Economics (CBE) invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term Postdoctoral Fellow position lasting 2 years and 8 months, starting from 1 June 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. The role is based at the ANU Acton Campus in Canberra, Australia. Research Context This position is linked to the ARC Discovery project titled Reliable and accurate statistical solutions for modern complex data. The Australian Research Council-funded Postdoctoral Fellow will work closely with the project chief investigator, Professor Alan Welsh, and other investigators Dr Francis Hui (ANU) and Professor Samuel Muller (Macquarie University). The research will focus on themes such as robust statistical estimation, feature selection, model averaging, mixed-effects modelling, distributional regression, and stable prediction and inference under error-prone data conditions. Position Details Classification: ANU Academic Level A Salary package: $78,940 $99,083 per annum plus 17% superannuation. PhD holders will receive a loading to Academic Level B1, totaling $107,475.
