Join us and be part of this exciting transformation!Join a team that values collaboration, and teamwork.Strong focus on continuous education from our national education team and professional development, we offer a robust environment for career growth.Flexible work arrangements, additional purchased leave and well-being programs.About The RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate management of patient records and that data is collected, collated and managed in line with site, state and federal legislative requirements.You will be responsible for accurate and timely coding of inpatient episodes using ICD-10-AM and ACHI classifications across a varied and complex casemix (including cardiothoracic, bariatrics, orthopaedic, spinal and colorectal surgery).About YouTo thrive in this role, you should be adaptable, possess exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, and constantly demonstrate courtesy and sensitivity when dealing with patients, the public, and fellow team members.To be successful in this role you will have:Bachelor of Health Information Management or Clinical Coding qualifications from Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) or equivalent Approved ProgramSound and updated knowledge of ICD-10-AM 12th edition, ACHI and Australian Coding Standards 12th EditionPrevious auditing experience is highly desirableProficiency with the Solventum CodefinderComputer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, patient management systems and digitised medical record solutionsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailKnowledge and understanding of DRG and activity-based fundingAbility to prioritise tasks and effectively manage time to meet deadlinesA passion for accurate data and continuous learning.Previous coding experience is advantageous however graduates are encouraged to apply.Remuneration: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Whats in it for you?Professional Advancement:Recognition, Rewards, Professional Development, and Employee referral programs.
