If you''re a strategic communicator with a genuine commitment to building meaningful connections, wed love to hear from you.About The RoleThis position is responsible for planning and delivering effective community engagement campaigns that build connection, trust and participation within our community. This includes:Facilitating the design and delivery of organisation-wide engagement using IAP2 or similar frameworks to support effective internal and external stakeholder engagementSupport the preparation and delivery of face-to-face and online consultation engagement activities in support of Councils projects and programs, such as pop-up stalls, workshop, community meetings and online forums to gather community sentiment on key issues and project satisfaction.Develop engagement materials and collateral, working with the Community Communications Officers to coordinate design, printing and distribution of these materials.Assist teams to map stakeholders for community engagement projects and determine appropriate methods to notify and engage each stakeholder groupCarry out administrative tasks including engagement plan and report development, coordinating letterbox drops, community email notifications and project updates.About YouTo be successful in this position, you will have:Demonstrated experience in community engagement with a variety of stakeholders, using a broad range of methods.Strong communication, relationship-building and conflict resolution skills.Flexibility to work out of hours, where required, to engage with our community at a time that works for them - this could include evenings and weekends.Knowledge and application of IAP2 or similar engagement frameworks, particularly in a local government context.Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in community engagement, social sciences or public policy.Remuneration And BenefitsEmployment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per weekSalary (exclusive of super): Starting in the range of $87,269 to $97,681 depending on skills and experienceBenefitsFlexible work arrangements - hybrid working (up to 50% depending on the role) and flexi-time accrualDiscounted gym membership through membership to Fitness PassportCareer development opportunitiesAnnual salary increase as per the Local Government (State) Award 2023 plus annual salary reviewLong service leave after 5 yearsGenerous employee assistance programSalary packaging options available through Salary Packaging Australia and MaxxiaRecognition through our annual awards ceremony celebrating and rewarding staff achievementsThe Liveable Communities TeamThe Liveable Communities Team is about connecting with the community including all residents and visitors to ensure that the Port Macquarie Hastings region is an inclusive and vibrant place for everyone.
