Senior Advisor, Injury Management & Wellbeing2 weeks ago Be among the first 25 applicantsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Direct message the job poster from Evolve TalentDirector - Safety & Environment Recruitment at Evolve TalentSenior Advisor, Injury Management & WellbeingPermanent, full-time role with the VECPivotal role focused on injury prevention & embedding a culture of careThe OpportunityThe Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) plays a critical role in upholding democracy through the delivery of fair, transparent, and high-integrity elections across Victoria.In preparation for the 2026 State Election, the VEC is partnering exclusively with Evolve Safety & Environment to expand its Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) team and build best-practice safety systems for one of the states largest and most significant public events.About the RoleReporting to the Senior Manager, HSW, the Senior Advisor, Injury Management & Wellbeing will play a pivotal role focused on injury prevention, recovery, and embedding a culture of care across the organisation.Youll drive wellbeing engagement through key programs and events, while contributing to a high-performance HSW culture in the lead-up to the 2026 election.Key responsibilities:Partner with leaders to ensure effective injury prevention and management practices and adviceManage end-to-end workers compensation and injury claims, including psychosocial casesManage significant non work-related illnesses and injuriesMaintain clear documentation and support reporting on key safety and wellbeing trendsCoordinate the annual wellbeing calendar and champion workplace initiativesProvide office based ergonomic assessmentsManage EAP provider relationship and reportingSupport in the identification, review and development of systems and processes for management of physical and psychosocial risksExperience RequiredWere looking for someone with:Demonstrated experience leading injury management strategies for physical and psychosocial casesSound knowledge of Victorian Workers Compensation legislation and return to work practicesAbility to develop documentation, processes and systemsStrong consultation skills across all levels of staff and external providersReturn to Work Coordinator accreditationTertiary qualifications in Allied Health, Health and Safety, or related field (desirable)Why Work with VECBe part of an organisation that facilitates fair, accessible and trusted democratic processesJoin a new and growing HSW team build systems from the ground upFlexible working 2 days in the office and 3 days from home (subject to operational requirements particularly close to election time)Opportunities for training, development and professional membership supportAccess to public sector benefits including generous leave, lump-sum payments and additional entitlements under the VPS Enterprise AgreementTo ApplyClick the apply button to submit your resume.
