We seek talented individuals to provide subject-matter expertise, focusing on the SOC space, to help clients mitigate security risks and implement new security capabilities across ICT systems.Role SummaryWe seek a talented, enthusiastic individual with excellent technical and client-facing skills to serve as a Cyber Security Lead Consultant. Responsibilities include advising clients on security operations, developing security roadmaps, and conducting maturity assessments against security models. The role is based in Canberra within our Government business, requiring a minimum NV2 security clearance, with potential for PV clearance.Learn more about our Cyber Security solutions: Cybersecurity SolutionsWhat Youll Be DoingImplement solutions across people, process, data, governance, and technology for top-tier Government clients.Engage with clients to understand requirements, design cybersecurity solutions, and develop policies, processes, and procedures. Lead and contribute on-site to develop requirements, workflows, and training plans.Document delivery processes, share lessons learned, and help establish best practices. Provide feedback to product management to influence the product roadmap.Collaborate with sales, project managers, engineers, solution architects, and clients. Travel internationally and nationally as needed.Develop technical expertise in our Cyber Security product suite and build strong client relationships as a primary technical contact.Lead teams of consultants and architects, ensuring solutions meet client needs and are fit-for-purpose.Oversee design implementation, collaborate with design team members, and ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.Manage solution risks, work to mitigate them early, and estimate costs and delivery timescales.Coordinate with Delivery Assurance to track quality and progress, supporting interventions when necessary.EssentialExperience in building and delivering Cyber Security solutions, understanding threats, and integrating systems.Knowledge of the cyber security product landscape, especially Azure and AWS security.Experience working in a SOC operations leadership role or as a senior SOC analyst, or building SOC systems in multiple programs.Experience deriving security use cases for SIEM platforms, onboarding organizations to a SOC, with knowledge of Splunk and Sentinel preferred.Client advisory experience, offering guidance and thought leadership.Excellent communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects independently.Understanding of IT service management and experience with systems like ServiceNow or Jira.Thought leadership in designing and strategizing advanced cyber defense detection systems.Learn More About Our Rewards And Benefits In AustraliaWhy BAE Systems?This is a place to make a real difference, with an inclusive culture valuing diversity, integrity, and merit.
