Permanent Full-timeWork-life balance, enjoy a 35-hour work week with a variable day off every 19 days and flexible working arrangements (WFH opportunities)Attractive and Competitive Salary: $79,729.00 - $92,657.78 + 12% superannuation per annumJoin a forward-thinking Council and play a key role in protecting our operations and enhancing our organisational resilience.The OpportunityAs an Insurance and Risk Officer, you''ll report to the Coordinator Risk and be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and administration of Councils insurance program (excluding Workers Compensation and Motor Vehicle claims), including the coordination of annual insurance renewals and the efficient management of insurance claims.You will work closely with Councils insurer to ensure accurate coverage, timely resolutions, and effective communication between all stakeholders. (Essential Criteria)Solid experience working in an insurance environment and undertaking insurance activities.Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and Council policy and procedures which relate to insurance and risk management.Demonstrated practical commitment to Workplace Health and Safety.High level proficiency in the use of computerised systems including Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint).Demonstrated experience in working in a multi-disciplined team environment.Demonstrated practical experience in dealing with difficult customers including strong conflict resolution skills.Excellent customer service and communication (verbal and written) skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to prioritise and complete tasks efficiently and to deadlinesCurrent C class drivers'' licenceBe willing to undergo national police check prior to commencementWhat ''s in it for you?
