With global expertise, we manage 51.5km of track and 21 stations, with a planned expansion into southwest Sydney.Job DescriptionAbout the RoleWere lo oking fo r a Senior Systems Engineer - Network to join our Engineering and Maintenance Delivery team, working across a range of disciplines, to play an instrumental role in managing all activities relating to Operational Technology (OT) and Network. The role will work closely with our E ngineering team to maintain and optimise the network infrastructure used to operate the metro. You will work closely with the Cybersecurity team in responding to alerts and improving the resilience of the network.Reporting into the Principal Engineer, Communication and Control Systems, this critical role will interface closely with our internal and external stakeholders to ensure our unique systems are safe, operational and resilient to enable our passengers to travel with confidence.Some Of The Key Responsibilities IncludeConfigure, maintain and troubleshoot networking infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls in an OT environment.Develop, implement and maintain cybersecurity controls for OT environments, including network hardening, Next Generation Firewall configuration and micro-segmentation.Develop and maintain system documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and operational procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Cyber, IT, operations, maintenance, and safetyExperience with VLANs, MPLS, VRFs and VPLSExperience with ring networks such as ERPS and RSTPConfiguration of routing technologies such as OSPF and BGPScripting skills such as Perl or Python desirable.Experience with NGFWs such as FortinetWorking with or managing subcontractors.Understanding of change management processes (e.g. CCB, CAB etc.)Desired Skills And ExperienceAbout YouYou have extensive hands-on demonstrated experience ideally gained from a rail, critical systems or service provider network. A solid understanding of Cisco syntax and Cisco like devices is mandatory. You may also have had exposure responding to cybersecurity events.
