We were founded in Melbourne, Australia and have offices worldwide.Role Summary:The General Manager will serve as the senior operational leader for our Australian business, working in partnership with the CEO to drive strategic execution and operational excellence, and with the other General Manager who takes care of the Customer Service and Client Onboarding divisions.This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage diverse functions while maintaining strong alignment with our Group HQ. The successful candidate will oversee Finance, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, Client Money, and HR functions, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of business objectives across all operational areas.What would be your responsibilities: Jointly lead the Australian business, and be responsible for all local day-to-day operational matters across Finance, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, Client Money, and HR functions Work closely with the CEO to execute the company''s business plans for Australia in consultation with, and taking direction from, the group HQ Partner the CEO to lead and manage the local team to ensure the company''s business goals and growth objectives for Australia are met Provide strategic oversight and operational guidance to department heads across all reporting functions, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and efficiency Ensure our day-to-day operations are compliant with all relevant regulations and laws, with particular focus on financial services regulations and client money handling requirements Drive operational excellence through process optimization, performance management, and resource allocation across all business functions Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including customers, partners, regulators, and internal teams Champion the company culture and values while adapting to local market requirements and opportunitiesWhat we require from you: Proven track record in a leadership role, preferably in Operations, Marketing or Compliance Minimum 8-10 years of senior management experience with P&L responsibility Have previously led teams within the financial services space Demonstrated ability to effectively implement and operationalize business plans and initiatives Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and executing change Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including stakeholders situated in a geographically different location Understanding of the CFD industry and the Australian market Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills and analytical skills Strong knowledge of ASIC regulations and financial services landscape Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and maintain a high-value, diverse client portfolio across both retail and wholesale clients, ensuring long-term loyalty and growth. Strong grasp of financial instruments, trading dynamics and market trends, with the ability to leverage this expertise to benefit clients strategic goals. Thorough understanding of mainstream trading platforms, e.g. MetaTrader 4/5, cTrader, TradingView or other proprietary platforms Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Chinese and/or other Asian languages is advantageous.
