The candidate will have a proven track record of program and project delivery, from conception and design through to implementation, measurement, closure, handover, and monitoring. The candidate is able to manage multiple, cross-functional competing projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation and agility are encouraged. The ideal candidate sees around corners, is adept at eliminating complexity, is biased for action in ensuring the project/program is set up for success in achieving our goals, has experience making the right tradeoffs, and earns trust through broad stakeholder influence.Key job responsibilitiesKey job responsibilitiesAbility to work effectively in a matrix environment across varied programs and in sensitive contextsEstablish, optimize, and retire mechanisms and processes to improve conditions for program successEstablish new norms on various aspects of the program and build alignment across teamsDrive projects for their entire lifecycle from planning through post-launch measurementOwn reporting of critical operations-related metrics to business stakeholdersRely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables.Liaise with other Amazon teams to ensure relevant areas are engaged and aligned to support program deliverablesBuild effective relationships with multiple internal and external, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver complex, projectsThe ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, across all teams and levels of seniority within Amazon (e.g., technical, business, executive)Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes.Develop, improve, and share operational best practices across the region and with peers globally.Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance (see The TeamAbout the teamDiverse ExperiencesAmazon values diverse experiences.
