They perform a technical role specifically focused on equipment and maintenance and operate across a process or a line/s. They are responsible for their own work performance (technical) and coaching and guiding other employees across the process or line/s in technical matters.About the role:Working in a fixed term capacity for up to August 2025 (with potential to extend), from 2pm - 10pm on the factory floor and reporting to the Production Supervisors, your responsibilities will include:QualityAdhering to all quality operating procedures and completing quality checks.Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene to meet food safety standardsSafetyAdhering to all safety operating procedures.Ensuring health and safety work standards and practices are demonstrated in the work area.Reporting all health and safety incidents, hazards and near misses.Machine OperationOperating technical equipment (fryers, seasoning drums, packaging machines) and executing change overs according to safety and quality standards.Applying technical knowledge when undertaking responsibilities to improve machine operation and processes, always actively seeking line improvement.Achieving production output and line speed targets within set timeframes.Using non-conformance systems to deliver products within specification.Maintaining 6S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Safety, Standardise, Systemise) standards of appearance for equipment/area.Supporting Maintenance by troubleshooting issues as the first responder in breakdowns.Using initial problem-solving tools to analyse and resolve root cause failures.Ensuring raw materials are available for production and monitoring usage.TeamworkWorking collaboratively with the production team to support continuous improvement and coordinate workflow to maintain seamless operations.Training others in machine operation.What youll bring to the role?Tertiary Education OR Trade Certificate is highly desirable.Experience in Machine Operation/Preventative MaintenaceProven working experience in the manufacturing industry preferably FMCG sector.Proven experience operating some or all of the following equipment, Vertical/Horizontal Form, Fill & Seal Machine, Case Erectors & Case Packers, Weighers (Ishida/TNA/Yamato), Kliklok, Extruders (Schaaf/Clextral), high-capacity Fryers (UPC), Sheeters, Dryers, and RobotsHas undertaken some level of AM step journey and IPS, IWS Training.Current forklift licenseCapability to execute all RTT DMS.Ability to understand complex issues with supporting analysis and to filter and focus on key issues.Able to make decisions by evaluating options and then acting upon them knowing the likely consequences.Ability to develop and maintain highly effective contacts, relationships, and networks with individuals and groups inside and outside the organisation.Intermediate level computer skills.Highly developed written and oral communication skills.Ability to be self-directed and motivated, demonstrating a proactive and innovative approach with a high level of initiative.Ability to recognise situations that require the use of appropriate negotiation techniques, and the skills to persuade others to reach mutually beneficial agreements.What''s on offer:We are offering an attractive hourly rate of $36.92 inclusive of 15% shift allowance + superannuation.How to apply:Candidates must apply online.This position requires the preferred candidate to undergo a pre-employment medical check and technical assessment testing as part of the interview stage.At SnackBrands Australia, inclusion, diversity and belonging are central to the recruitment process.
