Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. This role will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality social work service not only within the assigned clinical area but also to provide support and cover in other clinical areas across the Oncology Team as required. The successful applicant will have excellent communication and time management skills with relevant experience, and knowledge being desirable but not necessary with training and support available.
