Job Summary: The Peer Supporter provides basic support and serves as a peer who has successfully maintained recovery from a mental illness or addiction. Having navigated their own recovery, Peer Supporters share their experiences and assist clients in utilizing Recovery Resources services. They also provide person-driven support and direct services to clients. Essential Functions Maintain personal recovery success and role model coping skills. Encourage and empower clients to achieve their recovery goals. Make appointment reminder calls and notify staff of client changes. Support clients empathetically. Second Level (II) Additional Functions Assist in screening and intake of clients, including participating in interviews. Coach clients in daily living skills, such as transportation, job skills, group participation, budgeting, and health insurance navigation. Measurements of Success and Key Targets Clients achieve stability in housing, income, health, and social networks. Develop productive collaborations with team members and community organizations.
