With a strong commitment to quality, food safety and continuous improvement, the company values skilled tradespeople who take pride in their work.Role Overview:We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to carry out day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and improvements to bakery production equipment and infrastructure. This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive, safety-focused tradesperson with a background in FMCG or food manufacturing environments.Key Responsibilities:Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on bakery production machinery.Attend to breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.Diagnose mechanical faults and conduct repairs or component replacements.Carry out mechanical installations and upgrades to improve production reliability.Ensure all work complies with food safety, WHS and company quality standards.Complete maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Liaise with production staff to identify potential mechanical issues before they escalate.Requirements:Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III in Engineering Mechanical Trade or equivalent).Previous experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment highly desirable.Strong troubleshooting skills with bakery equipment, conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging lines.Good understanding of safety procedures, GMP, and HACCP requirements.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a maintenance team.Flexibility to negotiate start and finish times within a day-shift roster.Benefits:Competitive hourly rate up to $55 per hour + Super.Stable, full-time position with opportunities for overtime.Supportive team culture with flexibility around working hours. #J-18808-Ljbffr
