This is an incredible opportunity to work in a supportive, dynamic team and contribute to the development of young people who need your guidance,energy and care.If youre ready to roll up your sleeves, bring positive energy, and make a tangible difference, this is the role for you.We are currently offering Part Time opportunities based in Penrith NSW area and surrounds, you will need to have flexibility of working various day/night, weekends and sleep over shifts. Reporting to the House Manager.About the Role:Support staff in providing best practise care that meets the day-to-day needs of young people whilst delivering high quality outcomes for all young people and their families. Participate in team meetings with the National After Hours Support Worker Team and other forums as required.The After Hours Support Worker will:Support for Young PeopleContribute to the development of a safe and nurturing environment for young people;Assist young people to develop independent living skills;Protect and respect the rights of young people;Safeguard the wellbeing of young people and report any concerns immediately;Support young people to remain connected to the significant people and places in their lives;Support young people to access information and experiences which assist them to develop a positive sense of identity;Support young people to participate in decision making processes;Provide services that are sensitive to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their families.Our offer:Salary packagingwe can help you to maximize yoursalary packaging up to $18,550 per year, which allows you to reduce the amount of tax you pay.Paid Training that is industry specific including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Sanctuary and Cultural Awareness training.Fitness Passport - which is a discounted workplace health and fitness program available to you and your family. Whether you have previous experience in youth services or are eager to start your career in this field, we want to hear from you.
