Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.RCH enjoys high employee engagement and is committed to staff safety and a positive culture through enactment of our Compact.For further Information on RCH is availablehere .About the Role:This is a Full Time ongoing role within the Medical Imaging Department - MRI.As part of the Division of Surgery, this position exists to provide a quality imaging service to patients and referrers. As a Grade 3 MRI Technologist (MRT), the required role includes performing paediatric MRI and to expand and improve current skills as per attached position description.As a Grade 3 MRT, the required role includes performing MRI at a senior level and to expand and improve skills. It is expected the Grade 3 MRT applies specialist MRI skills.Under the direction of the Chief MRT and Allied Health Manager Medical Imaging, the role contributes to the ongoing care of paediatric patients in spheres of diagnosis, disease monitoring and treatment. The goal is to maintain a consistent high standard of imaging in order to succeed in producing reliable, timely and important results which really make a difference.The Royal Childrens Hospital, together with the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) have Siemens Sola 1.5T and Siemens Prisma-Fit 3T units in a purpose built MRI clinical and research facility. In the operating theatre suite there is an IMRIS Verio Dot.
