RANZCR members are critical to health services: radiation oncology is a vital component in the treatment of cancer; clinical radiology is central to the diagnosis and treatment of disease and injury.We are seeking a Part time (0.2 FTE 1 day/week) Medical Educationalistto join our Training and Lifelong Learning Unit, reporting to the Senior Manager Education and Assessments.The Medical Educationalist role is responsible for but not limited to:In consultation with the TLU senior management, and the CR and RO Chief Censors, drive the development of RANZCRs examination and assessment strategy, to ensure that it is fit-for-purpose and remains best practice.Be informed and stay up-to-date on current medical education developments, industry trends and opportunities that may impact RANZCR.Build and foster professional relationships with key clinicians to facilitate engagement in RANZCRs training related initiatives.Provide advice and expertise to the College on lifelong learning curriculum development across RANZCR training programs (including subspecialist programs), ensuring alignment and integration with the Units priorities, workplan and RANZCR strategic objectives.Provide guidance support to Portfolio Review Committees to strengthen programmatic assessment in RANZCR programs.Provide support to trainees and IMGs in remediation from the RANZCR training programs and provide advice to DoTs and CS who have a trainee in remediation or at risk of remediation.Provide advice and expertise in the design and implementation of training of clinical supervisors and DoTsProvide advice and expertise on examination and assessment development (including quality assurance) across RANZCRs training programs.In collaboration with colleagues across the College, help identify opportunities to streamline processes and deliver better value for members and supporters.Ensure that appropriate data collection and measurement frameworks are incorporated into existing and new initiatives and processesEmpower employees to take responsibility for their tasks and goals.Delegate responsibility, provide and expect accountability and regular feedback.Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.Desired Skills and ExperienceUnderstanding and broad knowledge of postgraduate medical education and assessment principles.Track record in undergraduate or postgraduate medical education and training.Demonstrated capacity to set and manage priorities in a high activity environment and be responsive to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.Outstanding communication, consultation and technical skills, to effectively manage interactions with key internal and external stakeholders, a convincing public speaker.Experience in program development.Appropriate tertiary qualification in Medical Education or a related discipline and/or relevant work experience.MBBS or equivalent preferred.Knowledge of current trends and processes in programmatic assessment and training.Experience working with committees and/or member-based organisations.Understanding of the principles of remediation with trainees in undergraduate / postgraduate medical education and training programs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
