Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal ofenabling human life on Mars.SHUTTLE DRIVER - TEMPORARYRESPONSIBILITIES:Transport people in a shuttle between locationsSafely load and unload cargo as neededResponsible for ensuring shuttle contents are secured for safe and undamaged delivery to destinationAvoiding high-traffic and accident-prone routes, where possibleMonitor service records of the vehicle when driving and report all problems to manager immediatelyResponsible for the cleanliness of vehicle and refueling when lowIn case of emergency contact immediate supervisor and provide detailed information to remedy issuePOSITION DETAILS:This is a temporary position with SpaceX, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate.LENGTH OF POSITION: 3 months (permanent hire conversion based on performance and business need)LOCATION: Brownsville, TXBASIC QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate2+ years of professional experience driving people in a commercial settingPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Class B CDL passenger endorsement10+ years of professional driving experienceProfessional experience driving peopleOutstanding knowledge of applicable transport and safety codesExperience with route planningExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong customer-service backgroundADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Valid driver''s license and clean DMV recordAbility to work all required hours, weekends and off-shifts with minimal noticeITAR REQUIREMENTS:To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. * 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. * 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
