The Design & Technology Teacher is expected to inspire academic excellence, foster intellectual curiosity, and support the holistic development of students.By creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and contributing to the broader school community, this teacher ensures that students are empowered to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and personally.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Teach Design & Technology to secondary students in an innovative and collaborative environmentUnlock students'' true potential, preparing them for unlimited success.Provide high-quality education, development, and care.Engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, aligning with Reddam Houses educational philosophy.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:A commitment and passion for teaching middle school students, and the ability to adapt to Reddams innovative and student-centric teaching methodologies.A teaching degree with a minimum of three years of post-qualification experience, specialising in Design & Technology with knowledge of NESA syllabus content.A valid Working with Children check and a commitment to child welfare.Confidence and commitment to building ICT confidence in students within developing technologiesHigh expectations and aspirations for all students with a commitment to their overall development as young people.An open-minded approach, willingness to learn and develop.A demonstrable passion for teaching and a proven track record.The right to work in Australia.Additional RequirementValid Working with Children CheckOngoing commitment to professional development and maintaining NESA accreditationWillingness to participate in school events and activities outside of regular school hours as required, with a focus on contributing to the schools leadership and educational initiatives.At Reddam House Sydney, we pride ourselves on a faculty of unparalleled calibre.
