Case Workers; Child, Youth & Family are qualified to deliver early intervention advice, casemanagement, capacity skills, group facilitation, community development and early interventionservices to children (0-12 years), young people (12-18 years) and families. Services and programsdelivered improve wellbeing, capacity, strengthen relationships, and increase participation incommunity life. Evidenced based services and programs are comprehensive, responsive, and deliveredin a professional, timely manner.To be successful in this role you will Focus on the delivery of programs and services that have children, young people and families atthe core using an early intervention, strength-based approach. Have a strong commitment to teamwork, be organised and timely Have a professional, non-judgemental approach, respecting the unique qualities of each client,particularly vulnerable families, and Indigenous communities Respond in a solution focused manner when faced with complex situations or change Capacity to adopt and incorporate effective self-care strategies in work that can be challenging Have a high-level self-awareness, understand your own strengths and areas for furtherdevelopment, actively seek feedback and maintain objectivity in face of constructive feedback Show initiative, take responsibility, and action with a positive and committed attitudeQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED Degree level qualifications in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology or Equivalent Experience providing Targeted Early Intervention (TEI) case work with a focus on child, youthand family safe outcomes within a Strengths Based Resilience Framework Training in evidence-based facilitation of early intervention programs. Thorough understanding of theoretical frameworks relating to child protection, childdevelopment, community development and early intervention. Commitment to work as part of a team in a collaborative, strength-based framework andwillingness to share professional expertise for positive outcomes of best practice. Understanding and commitment to work respectfully with Aboriginal people and people fromcultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including use of interpreters and joint work withCulturally and Linguistically Diverse and Aboriginal specific services. Excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to maintain accurate andthorough case notes and reports Excellent computer skills with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook Current unrestricted NSW drivers licence with good driving record.
