If so, wed love to hear about it!As an Activity Assistant at Rise, you will bring your creative flare to support in the delivery of social and recreational activities with aged and disability clients. You will create, facilitate and deliver in-centre activities and external outings of clients choice such as visits to restaurants, organising picnics, and other interests that have been put forward. You will support an environment that promotes social participation, personal independence/wellness and lifelong learning opportunities for the participants. Additionally, you will have transportation duties to and from outings (driving a small Hi Ace van).This role is permanent part-time working the hours 8.30am to 4.06pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (60.8 hours per fortnight) based at our centre in Koongamia with some occasional work at our centres in Mundaring and Forrestfield.Here at Rise, we nurture potential, but we do need you to have a few tricks up your sleeve including the following:Qualification (or working towards) in Community Services Certificate III Aged Care and/or related.Experience working in group social support, creating and delivering fun/ stimulating activities to vulnerable target groups such as aged and people with disability.Knowledge of program planning and monitoringStrong computer skills and ability to complete administration tasksDrivers licence with comfortability driving a van (MR license or willingness to obtain is desirable)First aid certificate (HLTAID009 and HLTAID010) or willingness to obtain Formalities (The serious stuff!)Appointments to this position require a driving licence and will be subject to a NDIS worker screening check.
