This position is responsible for effectively managing the hospital imprest system which includes goods ordering, receipt and delivery of stock to the wards and other areas of the hospital. The position also includes handling all supply & imprest queries as well as general duties in our internal warehouse area.Daily communication with team members and hospital staff will be crucial to address any stock-related issues that may impact patient care.The position is hands-on and requires a high level of physical work. Safety is paramount in this role. Youll be expected to adhere to all safety protocols and apply correct manual handling policies, procedures and techniques for all lifting, pushing, and pulling processes to ensure personal and team safety.Selection CriteriaPrevious experience in a warehouse / stores / distribution environment with knowledge of stock control and stores operationsExperience in computerised inventory management and supply chain systems, including scanning and excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Good time management and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and be able to work autonomously when required with a commitment to getting the job done efficientlySound working knowledge and demonstrated application of Work Health and Safety requirements in a receiving dock/store environmentGood written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with previous customer service experiencePhysical capability to regularly handle manual tasks and lift items in order to pick, pack & deliver orders as per imprest scanning replenishmentHealthcare background with experience with medical consumables and handling of sterile stock in accordance with Australian Standards (AS5369) and Infection Control guidelines will be highly regardedCertificate II or III in Warehouse & Logistics Management (or equivalent) would be desirableThis is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to establish a long-term career with a highly regarded healthcare provider.
