Job Description

The Canteen Assistant is a service focussed position, ensuring the school canteen operates safely, efficiently and cost effectively. The position with assist with daily canteen operations including food preparation, service, and cleanup.Please refer to the website for the Position Description.Qualifications / ExperiencePrevious experience in a school canteen, caf, or similar fast-paced food environment is beneficial.Understanding safe food preparation, storage, and hygiene practices.Basic cash handling or point-of-sale (POS) experienceFamiliarity with electronic ordering/payment systems such as Flexischools is an advantage.Ability to follow instructions and work in a teamDemonstrates reliability, initiative, and a cooperative attitude in a team environment.The successful applicant will be expected to support and uphold the Strategic Direction of the College.
