Seeking a Student Wellbeing Support Officer40 years supporting vulnerable youth and their families in Sydneys west.Part-time hours, during school term, South West SydneyWorking alongside children supporting their social & emotional needsBridging the Gap has been supporting children, youth, and families in Sydneys west for 40 years. This includes working in public schools providing tailored support for primary-aged children, helping them become all they can be through individual support and small group programs.We are seeking a Student Wellbeing Support Officer to work across 3 days a week, during term time, delivering programs in South West Sydney.What we need from you:A passion to make a difference in young peoples livesExperience working with young people aged 5-15 yearsAvailable at 3 days per week, during term timeA commitment to Bridging the Gaps Vision and ValuesCriteria:Qualification A Certificate IV in Youth Work or similarMinimum 2 years experience working with children and/or young peopleExperience facilitating small groups and/or running programs (desirable)Demonstrated ability to connect with young people, build relationships, and resolve conflictExperience working in a school environment would be an advantageUnderstanding of issues impacting CALD & Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young peopleStrong communicator with a passion for helping children discover their strengths and valueStrong organisational and computer skillsThe successful candidate will be required to hold current:Working with Children Check (WWCC) for employeesNational Criminal History (Police) Record checkWhat we offer:Supportive organisationPaid per the SCHADS Award, at level 3, commensurate with qualifications and experience, with salary packaging available to increase your take-home payHow to applyContact us for a position description.
